President’s Corner

Mr. Don Miller, a resident of Huntsville, AL and is a Vietnam Veteran that served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969. His company was the first unit to deploy the Hawk Missile system to Vietnam.

Don Miller received his BS (1972) and his MS (1976) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Don served as the Chief Engineer of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space in Huntsville, AL from 1991 to 1997 where he was instrumental in the oversight of several missile programs.

Upon leaving Lockheed Martin, Don founded Miltec Corporation March 1997, a missile system design, development, and testing company which he grew to over 300 employees and 53 million in revenue. Don sold Miltec to Ducommun Corporation, a California based corporation in January of 2006. After the sale, Don served as the President of Miltec for another three years.

Following a short six month retirement, Don acquired LESCO (Logistics & Engineering ) January 2010. Don and his LESCO staff have turned LESCO into a profitable organization. Don is continuing to look at new opportunities to enhance and continue to build LESCO and venture into the engineering world.
